How is the swing attached to Therapy Plus?
The rope set is hung from the top to the ceiling attachment and screwed tightly in place atthe lower end of the swing.
What safety distance should be kept from the wall or other items?
EN 1176-2 states that all obstacles should have a safety distance of 2.25m on the area around the swinging action. If the walls are padded the distance can be reduced in proportion to the amount of padding in the walls.
Does the maxi swing conform to DIN 1176?
The maxi swing has been examined under EN1176-2 by TÜV in Germany. The certificate is in Sport-Thieme GmbH.
Can the swing be attached to wooden frames, like those for private use in hardware/DIY stores?
Must the wooden frame be concreted in? What minimum thickness must the wooden beams be? It is possible to attach the swing to a wooden frame. You will need a special hanging set for this purpose. Please request an assembly set for round wooden beams when ordering. When selecting a wooden frame you should check that it is certified under EN 1176-1 and EN1176-2 for hanging swings. It is recommended to concrete the frame in but please check the assembly instructions for the wooden frame itself.
Up to what weight will the swing support?
The swing will support up to 200kg. Please pay particular attention to ensuring a safe ceiling attachment.
What size is the swing and what fixing materials are necessary for which widths on the wooden beam on top?
The size of the swing is: (l x w) 136x66cm. The rope should have a distance of approximately 70cm from the base. The ropes are 2.8 metres long. The assembly set for the wooden beams is available, see article number 1960916.
